Biography
- Co-author of Ordinary in Brighton?, which emerged from research (Count Me In Too) that examined Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans Lives in Brighton & Hove. This was a Community University Partnership project (with Spectrum) that began in 2005 and in 2010 won a Research Innovation Award for the impact it has had.
- Co-authored Queer Spiritual Spaces with Sally Munt and Andrew Yip
- Current research investigates resistances to LGBT equalities in the UK and Canada, with Catherine J. Nash (Brock University),funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada
- Worked with Sally Munt and Andrew Yip on the AHRC project Queer Spiritual Spaces 2007-2010
- Research Group Representative of the Royal Geographical Society/Institute of British Geographers Research Committee
- Member of the National Statistics Office Expert Research Group advising on the development of questions regarding sexual identity 2006-2008
