From August 1st 2009 the Media studies provision of the school migrated to the School of Arts and Media in the newly re-structured Faculty of Arts.

The courses that will be moving to this new Faculty include BA Media Studies, the media prodcution foundation and top-up degrees delivererd at University Centre Hastings (Broadcast Media, Radio Production and Television Production), as well as the MA in Creative Media.

The research groups Media Research Brighton and Community Network Analysis will also be migrating to the new faculty in time.

Over the coming months areas of the CMIS website relating to these media courses and research groups will be migrated to the Faculty or Arts website.

Although the school and faculty which delivers these courses has changed, the media courses, BA Media Studies and MA Creative Media will still be delivered from the Watts Building on the Moulsecoomb campus, and the academic staff that teach these awards will still have their offices in Watts. Likewise the UCH awards will remain in UCH.
