The school is proud to announce the appointment of two new professors in the school.
Tara Brabazon, Professor of Media Studies, previously held academic positions in both Australia and Aotearoa, New Zealand. Her research areas are popular cultural studies, with specialist interests in popular memory and popular music, and the deployment of creative industries initiatives with attention to the night-time economy and the knowledge economy.
Flis Henwood, Professor of Social Informatics, works in the emerging field of social informatics, an interdisciplinary field that addresses the social contexts of information technologies – their design, development and use.
In the last five years, she has led the way in developing a social informatics perspective in information technology and healthcare research.
