Research

At Brighton Business School we are committed to intellectual excellence through research, and our research activity is at the centre of all that we do.

Cutting-edge, high quality research

According to the Research Excellence Framework 2014:

  • 92% of our research is rated as being world-leading or internationally excellent in terms of the impact it makes.
  • This makes us a top 5 university for world-leading impact in Business and Management Studies.
  • The University of Brighton has been placed in the top 25% of the sector for its research.

A testimony to the quality of our research is also in the national and international business and management conferences we host.

Addressing real-world issues

We have excellent working relationships with the wider research community and we work closely with external institutions and commercial businesses, translating our research into practice. As well as making a meaningful contribution to business and management practices, our research ensures our courses are up-to-date, interesting and relevant.

A supportive research community

We have over 70 research-active staff and an established development programme to support both experienced and new researchers.
